Your CEO Time: From Spinning to Soaring
For the established owner who's built something good and craves more time for what matters, in her business and her life.
A live one-hour workshop to plan your week around your priorities, your business and your life.
$47 | Live September 29 at 4pm Eastern | Replay included
You have built something good. Customers who come back, a team, revenue that shows up. Nobody handed you a plan for any of it and you did it anyway.
So look at last week.
How many hours did it take? Not the number you tell people. The real one.
Which of those hours went to the thing that will still matter in six months, and which went to whatever was loudest at nine in the morning?
And when was the last time you sat down before the week started and decided any of it?
Most weeks get decided by whoever emails first. That is how the unpaid invoice, the person who cancelled, the order that went to the wrong address, and whatever broke on Monday end up owning your Tuesday. Meanwhile the thing you keep saying you want to work on gets forty minutes on a Friday, if it gets anything.
You already know how to run this business. That part is handled.
Now it's about making sure your best hours are going toward the business you're building and the life you want it to support.
Where you as a CEO spend your time is a skill, and nobody ever taught it to you.
Your CEO Time - From Spinning to Soaring
Tuesday, September 29 at 4pm Eastern. One hour live, questions and all. Replay included.
$47
Give me one hour on the 29th and you will walk out with next week decided, instead of next week happening to you. See you Tuesday.
When. Tuesday, September 29, 4pm Eastern. One hour, start to finish. Your questions happen inside that hour, not after it, so you can plan the rest of your afternoon.
Where. Zoom. The link comes in your reminder emails.
Format. A Zoom meeting. Cameras and voices welcome, and you can talk to me and to each other. You will be building your own calendar during the hour, so bring whatever you plan in, paper or digital.
Why I run it this way. We're all human, and connection in a room with others working on the same thing is so much richer than watching a replay all alone like everything else you do in your business. I'm a human, you're a human, others in the room are human. You can ask questions and connect, laugh, learn with others. Watch me coach in real time, not scripted. We get enough of that, don't we?
Replay. Yes, included with your seat.
Can't make it live? Grab your seat anyway and watch the replay. The one thing you will miss is building your week live with me on the call answering questions. If you are watching the replay, set a timer and do that part on your own. It is the piece that makes the rest of it stick.
Thirty years self-employed. The whole family income riding on it that entire time. A retail store, a studio, a cafe, a taekwondo studio, and a cleaning company John and I ran for twenty five years.
And for most of those years I ran my own week upside down.
Admin was the main thing. And then the work itself. And then a little bit of marketing. And then this much business development, right down at the bottom, getting whatever was left over, which was usually nothing.
I was busy every single day and the business only grew when I got lucky.
Flipping that pyramid is the thing that changed it. Not working more hours. Deciding, before the week started, which hours belonged to what.
I have taught this to shop owners and makers and coaches for eleven years now, and it lands the same way every time. People see the shape of it and they cannot unsee it.
I'm Wendy Batten. I help established owners build businesses that fuel their lives instead of eating them. This hour is the smallest piece of that work and it is the one I would start with.
No. There are no tricks for going faster and no apps to download. This is about deciding what earns your hours before the week starts, and knowing why. Going faster inside a badly ordered week just gets you to the wrong place sooner.
Yes. The pyramid is the same whether you run a store, a studio, a service business, or a practice. What changes is what sits in the doing the work level. Makers, coaches, consultants, and product businesses all sit in this room.
I know, and that is the argument for coming rather than against it. The next three months are the biggest financial stretch most of you have, and they are also the ones most likely to disappear on you. An hour on the 29th to decide how the rest of it goes is a reasonable trade.
One hour. That is the whole commitment. Questions happen along the way and at the end, inside the hour, so you are not waiting on an open-ended Q&A to be let go.
Next week's calendar, built during the hour, with your off time in first. Plus the pyramid to run it again the following Monday, and the one after that.
No. There is something new opening in October, the Wendy Batten Collective, and I will spend about three minutes on it at the end so nobody is surprised. The workshop stands on its own and plenty of people will take it and run it themselves for years. That is a completely fine outcome.
Depends what your planner is doing. If it is holding your to-do list, this is a different job. This decides which categories of work get the hours before anything goes on the list. Organized people often find their week is tidy and still pointed at the wrong things.
One seat, one person. If two of you want to build your weeks together, grab two seats. It works better than one of you reporting back.
Email me within seven days and I will refund you. I would rather give your $47 back than have you sitting in a room you did not want to be in.
